Having 3 kids under 6 and living in Minnesota, mittens always seem to be in short supply in my house, so I'm on a mitten mission! I started my mission by making some mittens to match the stupid hat I made. I pulled the pattern out of my head and , IMO, they are not very nice, I need to do a proper thumb gusset instead of just creating a hole and picking up the stitches. They look rather nice in pictures, but I'll continue on my "mitten mission" and perfect the thumb. The yarn is my own, recycled, hand dyed consisting of 70% linen, 20% silk and 10% rayon. They will be very warm.
